Shaping the future of healthcare together

Why support the Foundation?
The Inserm Foundation was created to support Inserm’s research missions by developing private resources from individual and corporate donors.
Its role is to develop health and biomedical research, and to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge, in the interests of everyone’s health. A donation or support is a gesture of trust that accompanies research teams, helping them to explore new avenues and accelerate their discoveries.

Supporting an innovative research program
Your commitment gives our researchers the freedom to take risks and explore new avenues of research for the benefit of everyone's health.

Strengthening our technology platforms
By financing the acquisition of cutting-edge equipment, you enhance our research capabilities and guarantee excellent infrastructures.

Welcoming new talent
Thanks to you, our laboratories are able to recruit both young talent and experienced researchers, promoting interdisciplinarity and a diversity of backgrounds and experience to ensure research of the highest international level.
Our commitments

Research & Innovation
Since 1964,Inserm has established itself as one of the world’s leading medical research organizations, at the forefront of today’s scientific and medical revolution. This revolution is driven by cutting-edge technologies – brain imaging to explore the brain, 3D bioprinting to create organoids (neurons, artificial skin, heart) – to facilitate laboratory testing, and artificial intelligence, used to analyze vast sets of health data and identify molecules of therapeutic interest.
Proximity to the French
Inserm is deeply committed to the French people. By working on issues that affect everyone on a daily basis – from prevention to disease treatment – the Institute strives to make research accessible and useful to all. Close to the concerns of citizens, Inserm translates scientific advances into concrete solutions to sustainably improve the health and well-being of all. Thanks to the cohorts that bring together 2% of the French population under its aegis,Inserm is at the heart of the health of French men and women, and of research to preserve public health.
Transparency and integrity
The Foundation undertakes to make efficient, transparent and traceable use of its resources, in particular those made available to it by its patrons and donors. The Foundation undertakes to provide its sponsors and donors with reliable, fair, precise and objective information on its general orientations, its commitments, its choices of actions, its priorities and the use of the funds collected. To this end, the Inserm Foundation draws up an annual report on its activities and accounts, which can be consulted on request.
The Inserm Foundation has its accounts certified annually by a statutory auditor who attests to the sincerity and thoroughness of the Inserm Foundation’s accounts.
Scientific and ethical independence
The Inserm Foundation is committed to remaining independent of its benefactors in its strategic choices.
It is committed to promoting scientific integrity and the quality of research, on which, according to the Bonn Declaration, confidence in science and democracy depend. It is committed to the fight against misinformation, and promotes Inserm’s actions in the fields of Science by and for society, and participatory research.
The Inserm Foundation relies on the reflections and guidelines formulated by Inserm’s Ethics Committee.
The Inserm Foundation's areas of intervention
- Fighting major pathologies: cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, infectious diseases, cardiovascular or metabolic diseases… Research conducted in Inserm laboratories is mobilized to revolutionize understanding of complex pathologies of multifactorial origin, thanks to teams that rely on interdisciplinarity, cutting-edge imaging technologies or artificial intelligence.
- Tackling major societal and environmental challenges that impact public health, the healthcare system and access to care
- Responding to health threats linked to global environmental change, particularly climate change.
- Tackling the rise in chronic diseases, in particular through prevention initiatives targeting pathologies such as cardiovascular disease, the world’s leading cause of death.
- Develop research on women’s health and act in favor of vulnerable people and equal access to healthcare.
- Combat scientific misinformation, particularly among the younger generation, to empower them to take control of their own health.
